The first week of the Concrete Summer Learning Adventure is right around the corner, and we are excited to share these five weeks with you and your campers! Here’s a quick overview of the adventures for the first week.
The theme for the week is “Outdoor Ambassadors”, so the campers will be learning all about land and soil. Activities will focus on team building and cultivating active awareness of the environment. Jason Miller will be joining us to help the campers create worm bins, and we’re also taking a field trip to Cascadian Farm to learn about soil and compost. The week will end with a trip to the North Cascades National Park at Marblemount, where the campers will get a tour of the Ranger Station and begin their journey to become Junior Rangers.
Concrete Youth Activity Day is the first Thursday of camp, July 9th. Camp is ending early that day and busses will be leaving Marblemount at 12:30. Youth Activity Day is 12:30 – 4:30 at Silo Park.
The Harvest of the Week for the first week is berries. Meals throughout the week will include berries donated from local farms.
